Quintessential Redwood Heights Family Home

Few people realize a neighborhood like this exists in Oakland, but here you’ll be surprised to find this 4-bedroom/2-bath sunny home nestled on a quiet, peaceful, wooded cul-de-sac. Recently painted inside & out, bathrooms remodeled, the front yard professionally landscaped, new carpets & luxury vinyl plank flooring has been installed. Dual-pane windows throughout the house provide pleasant views of greenery. Warm, oak flooring leads into an upgraded kitchen featuring SS appliances & quartz countertops. Up a few stairs, past the laundry room is a sizable family room with double sliding glass doors for great indoor/outdoor flow onto a spacious flagstone patio. From there, wander up to the expansive back yard stretching gently uphill under a canopy of oaks. Downstairs is a large, comfortable bedroom adjoining a full bathroom and a bonus room, ideal for work-at-home or workout at home. Join the many families living nearby who walk their kids to school (Redwood Heights Elementary is just a few blocks away). Wander down “the Creek Road”—a hidden, hyper-local gem—or over to the more obvious and joyfully utilized “Jordan Rd. Park.” Hop down to Ghost Town Brewing for a cold beer or over to Farmer Joe’s Market for organic produce. You’ll be right in between Highways 13 & 580, so getting to nearby Montclair or up to Berkeley, Rockridge BART, Lake Merritt or even SF is a snap. Lovers of hiking and biking have all of Redwood Regional Park’s 1830 acres (where grows the largest remaining natural stand of coast redwood in the East Bay) practically in their laps, just up the hill from 3028 Jordan Rd.

3028 Jordan Road

Redwood Heights takes its name from a former logging road that winds into the Oakland Hills. Homes range in style and include Tudor, Craftsman, and French Normandy, with some homes built in the 1920s. The Redwood Heights Neighborhood Association is dedicated to preserving a sense of community through events such as block parties and barbecues.
The Redwood Heights Recreation Center is used by locals of all ages for weekend gatherings and classes including dance, cooking, and karate. Peralta Creek's 9 acres of creekside have been designated as wildlife corridor. A neighborhood nonprofit Native Environment Watershed Transformation (NEWT) orchestrated the Peralta Creek restoration and leads creek field trips for local school groups. Redwood Regional Park offers nearly 40 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails through 1,380 acres of redwood, evergreen, and chaparral forests and open space.
